I believe photographs are the best souvenir from any trip. Actually memories should be the first one, but they fade away and became more transparent along the time and cover with color again when we look at captured images. So today I wish to present a gallery of yet unpublished pictures from Canada. I reckon that comments are unnecessary, because photographs do not need to reflect specific situations every time. Besides I am not a professional photographer but I do enjoy taking them. For me they are a kind of medium, they show the truth about the country, teach about something unknown and leave space to shape our own opinion. In this situation they also show diversed character of Canada.
TORONTO – influence from USA.
MONTREAL – in between USA and France.
Montreal looks very romantic, there are a lot of french influences. It is also worth to see Underground City (officially RÉSO or La Ville Souterraine in French), it was build having strong winters in mind. People can eat, shop or chill out underground when the temperature is far below zero degrees. It actually looks to me like some big shopping malls in Europe.
OTTAWA is called the most underestimated capital city in the world. Does it deserve it? Judge on your own. I did not like it much, but bad weather has its impact on my opinion, so I am not objective in this case 😉
MONT TREMBLANT – feel like in The Alps.
It is the most famous ski resort in Canada, I recommend to stop in Saint-Jerome and Saint Agathe des Monts on the way. The architecture is quite different than in cities, you will not see real Canada unless you leave big metropolitan cities behind you.
QUEBEC CITY – European style with Canadian twist
